Volcano Eruption Photos
After 9,000 years, Chaitén volcano exploded back to life, forcing people to evacuate the surrounding area. The volcano awoke on May 2 and continued erupting intermittently, blanketing the area in ash and forcing more than 4,000 people to flee.
Cyclone: Before and After
The cyclone that lashed southern Myanmar (Burma) on May 2 and 3 changed the landscape of the Irrawaddy River delta, where massive floods killed tens of thousands of people.
