By today's more rigorous standards for truth in advertising on the green front, not much has changed, unfortunately. And of course, the key word to focus on here is "credible"...


PR Biz Update

A notorious "Spam King" and his partner now owe MySpace about $230 million in damages after a federal judge awarded the popular online hangout what is believed to be the largest anti?spam judgment ever. The judgment is a big victory for MySpace, although service providers often have a tough time collecting such awards. But even if the site never collects, it hopes the judgment deters other spammers...
Burger King announced this week it fired two employees following the disclosure that a top official secretly posted blogs slamming a farmworker advocacy group. The Miami?based company did not name the individuals who were fired. It also said it is discontinuing the use of a private investigative firm whose president allegedly pretended to be a student activist to infiltrate the farmworker group and its supporters...
The controversial new feedback policy eBay announced in January is slated to start taking effect next Monday, removing sellers' ability to leave neutral or negative feedback for their buyers. While eBay officials hope the change will benefit both buyers and sellers by creating a more reliable marketplace, some small merchants see this as another reason to move their wares elsewhere...
