The Simple Life


Jules Dervaes and his family have been living off the land for years. They cultivate all their own fruits and vegetables, and survive on the money they make from selling the surplus crops. They even make their own biofuel to run the car. But the family of four is doing it all on a fifth of an acre in the middle of Pasadena, Calif. ABC's John Donvan reports on living the simple life on an urban homestead.

Surviving Everest


Australian climber Lincoln Hall was left for dead on the side of Mount Everest after suffering brain swelling from the extreme altitude. Amazingly, the seasoned climber managed to survive overnight on a narrow ridge 28,000 feet above sea level. ABC's David Muir reports on how Hall defied death on the world's tallest mountain.

The Economy of Dead Celebrities


The king of rock 'n' roll has been dead for more than years, but his spirit and his earning power live on. Elvis Presley raked in an estimated $49 million in the past year, making him the top earning dead celebrity. Who else made it onto this year's list? ABC's Nick Watt reports.
