Abba, Our Father
On March 13, 2008 my wife, son and I arrived in Beijing, China. Four days later we were holding our new daughter in our arms. Abandoned on a train at a day old, she spent her first 16 months in an orphanage in Hefei. But God is faithful, a father to the fatherless and He sets the lonely in families (Psalm 68). We are so grateful that He chose to put little XuXu Lynn into the Denzel family. After a long wait, she is finally home. And we’re all adjusting very well. Check out this little California girl in her Cozy Coupe in our backyard—right at home just a few days after arriving! (Continued)

Used by permission.		Check out Gospel Light's VBS Forums for great ideas like this one from Claudia at Faith Covenant Church in Michigan. «We have a kiosk near the children's wing of the church. On one side of the kiosk, my husband and kids installed a K'nex© roller coaster with the SonWorld logo on it…They built a ticket booth and small people out of Legos. Attached to each Lego figure is a piece of paper with words on it to show conversation between the people. To keep kids and parents looking at the display, we change the words every other week.»
Excerpted from Director’s Calendar		If you are having your VBS program in June, we suggest that by the end of May you Distribute curriculum samples to center leaders and early childhood teachers. Conduct training meetings. Meet with the coordinators (missions, publicity, special events, finance, crafts, snacks, etc.) for prayer and to assess progress. Begin pre-registration, assign students to classes and prepare name tags. Check donations and purchase additional supplies as needed. Dedicate the VBS workers during church service.
