More than two billion people in the world are under 18 - what do they think is important? What kind of world will they inherit? And how do they plan to make it better?
Generation Next gives young people a platform to be heard and to discuss the issues most important to them. BBC World joins forces with BBC World Service to bring nine days of special programming devoted to the voices, experiences, ideas and aspirations of young people from around the globe.
There will be news coverage throughout the week including School Day 24, a special interactive event for schools and young people on television, radio and online across the globe.
Anita Rani (pictured) presents My Generation Next where young people from around the world use webcams, mobile phones and specially commissioned films to talk about what's really on their minds. Also across the week five exceptional teenagers demonstrate what they are doing to make a difference in their world.
World Business Report will be featuring a series of specially commissioned films looking at teenage tycoons across the globe as well as the lives of two groups of poorer teenagers in New York and India. The season also features Have Your Say, FASTTRACK, Click and a number of documentaries including Nicola Benedetti: A Winning Story and Sierra Leone: The Way I See It.
