Newseum Opens With Unusual Audio
Washington, DC (May 8, 2008)--The Newseum, which opened in April, is an unusual new museum devoted to--you guessed it--news. Seven levels of galleries, theaters, retail shops and visitor services rise above The Great Hall of News, a 90-foot-high atrium that showcases breaking news. With 14 major exhibit areas, 15 theaters, two broadcast studios and more than 130 interactive stations, the museum turned to SH Acoustics of Milford, CT to be the project’s audio and acoustic consultant.
VornDick Picks Telefunken
Nashville, TN (May 8, 2008)--After extensive testing, engineer/producer Bil VornDick has purchased a pair of Telefunken | USA's small capsule Ela M260 condenser microphones. This new version of the classic 1959 microphone features a New Old Stock Telefunken EF-732 tube and a custom wound transformer from AMI/TAB-Funkenwerk.
Danley Lands At Landmark Church
New York (May 8, 2008)--Commercial sound designer Chad Edwardson at All Pro Sound in Pensacola, FL was recently contacted by Landmark Church of Christ in Montgomery, AL to bring its aging audio system up to date. The solution was to replace the old speakers with Danley Sound Labs SH-50s.
