VOTE IN THE 'AD AGE' WEEKLY ONLINE POLL
BACKGROUND: In a column this week, ad industry vet, critic and grouser George Parker contended that there are too many conferences in the ad world. Not only that, he said, but many of them offer little valuable information and are little more than very expensive excuses to drink and play golf. Wrote Parker, "The chances of you actually ... learning something you didn't already know are zip! Because as you really should admit, the vast majority of advertising and marketing conferences you've ever been to were, in reality, a waste of time."
THIS WEEK'S POLL QUESTION: Do you agree with George Parker that marketing conferences have become irrelevant?
