Citizens' group wants nearly $50M for new Norman library |
Even with the University of Oklahoma's library in the same town and the Oklahoma City metroplex library system's resources within driving distance, Norman still needs a massively upgraded public library of its own, Richard Ryan said. Ryan
is chairman of a citizens group supporting the $49.5 million bond issue that would pay for the new library's property, design, construction, furnishings and parking, and a related issue worth $11.2 million to remodel the existing library
as a new senior citizens center and additional municipal court space. The bond issues will come up for public vote May 13.

Nursing home sex harassment case settled |
Wildwood Care Center and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission have settled a sexual harassment lawsuit filed by a former employee of the Tulsa nursing home, EEOC officials announced Friday. Wildwood has agreed to pay $25,000
and train managers and workers about sexual harassment.

Expo to draw oil, gas producers, investors |
Paul Smart saw a need in the oil and gas industry in Oklahoma and decided to fill the gap. Smart is director of the Mid-Continent Prospect Expo, which will take place Tuesday and Wednesday at the Cox Convention Center. More than 80 oil and
