Passionate to Worship
Hi Raquelle,
Does anyone besides me have a degree that doesn’t relate to their career? I studied piano in college and graduate school. Other than traveling with a musical missions team for 4 years, my jobs didn't depend on my ability to play the piano.
But music is a huge part of my life. I play the piano whenever I get a chance. Like Eric Liddell in Chariots of Fire, sometimes when I play, “I feel God’s pleasure.”
Louie Giglio said, “Music makes you feel good, but the truth is what sets you free.” Music can stir us emotionally, inspire us, and please us. However, it will never set us free.
Louie is founder and leader of the Passion Movement, whose heartbeat is “theologically informed freedom.” He’s on a quest to find “…a sweet spot for what worship is,” a combination of music, truth, and a call to action.

Leo Severino is part of the production company (the producers and Tony Bennett are pictured at left) that brought the hit film Bella to theaters last year. Debuting on DVD this week, the film has won awards from several different film festivals. More importantly, it’s been credited with saving the lives of 13 children who would have been aborted.

Leo: Bella was the first project for Metanoia Films, which is our production company. “Metanoia” is a word used in Scripture to mean basically conversion, or turning toward God. Family members from 3 to 93 will enjoy the delightful comeback of the cute and lovable Chipmunks. Having grown up with the original group, we loved this movie which has added a sense of reality to our tiny friends. Our beloved Chipmunks are now computer generated characters and the animators have done a fantastic job bringing Alvin, Simon and Theodore to life. Half-way through the movie you may even begin to actually believe they are real. The portrayal of Dave Seville by Jason Lee will have everyone in the family smiling and laughing as they watch him grow up while trying to keep his young charges out of trouble in this uplifting family movie.
While the antics of the Chipmunks are worth the ticket price, you will be even more pleased by the music. All of the old favorite songs have been brought back with a slightly more modern fare that will have your children singing as they leave the theater. Dove is please to award "Alvin and the Chipmunks" our "Family-Approved" Seal and we hope you will relive your youth with these cute and adorable fuzzy friends.

"Excellent!!!! I was skeptical in the beginning, mainly because it is only 50 minutes long. I thought, 'What good can come out of a 50-minute movie?' Wow, was I wrong. The story line is so beautifully done; it is as good as a feature-length film and better. Words just cannot express how much this movie blessed me. The spiritual side of it is put in a deep, yet easy to understand way. By the time the 50 minutes were up, I was moved to tears, but then, at the very last moment, it left me smiling. I would give it an 100 if I could."
