This week's newsletter is sponsored by The Chronicles of Narnia--Prince Caspian.

As we travel the country talking with educators about
Prince Caspian, the second film in our The Chronicles of Narnia series, we’re delighted to hear stories about students who, as fans of C.S. Lewis' classic series of books, were enthralled by The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, and are now eagerly awaiting Prince Caspian.

We also hear encouraging stories about students who were inspired to read Lewis' modern classics for the first time after seeing The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and are now inhaling the series.

Both scenarios embody the heart of Walden's mission: to enhance literacy and a love of reading bycreating faithful, high-quality film adaptations of beloved children's literature. To these ends, we encourage you to make use of our many free, downloadable "Narnia" educational resources available to you at:

EDUCATION WORLD PREMIERE HUMOR
POET'S CORONER
***************************************************************************

School Supplies
By Forrest Stone

When you think of school supplies
What makes the list?
Erasers and notebooks and stuff
Such as this?

Chalk and computers and
Books, a red pen?
Well this little poem says
To you, think again!

A teacher's supply list
Is rather unique
And extensive, so here we'll
Just give you a peek:

Aspirin, Tylenol, Aleve,
And Advil,
Each variety to treat a
Particular ill:

Aspirin's good for the heart
And Aleve for the pain
You get when you can't believe
They've done it again

Advil is good for the ache
In the back
When the administration
Won't cut any slack

And Tylenol is a good one
To wrap up the night
'Cause it's mild on the tummy
And lets you sleep tight.

Of course you must also have
Band-Aids
And Q-Tips
And paper clips
And Rolaids

The essentials would take quite
A long poem to number
But I've just had my Tylenol
And I'm ready for slumber!
