I'm writing from London, where this afternoon I took in the amazing "China Now" exhibit at the Victoria & Albert Museum. China's urban culture is one of the youngest and most vibrant in the world, yet this reality is often overshadowed by politics, as it was recently in demonstrations in Paris and London over the Olympic torch. The exhibit helped me see past the headlines, and gave me new ideas and itineraries for my next trip to China. I didn't come to London to see "China Now," but this is what I'll take away from my trip—to travel is to be surprised.
At Avalon Travel we're working constantly to make our guidebooks the best in the business, and adding new destinations every year. We hope you'll soon have a chance to travel with us, and look forward to helping you find some surprises of your own.
