RAIN 04/29: CC launches young demo eRockster service
Dear Criss,
Clear Channel today launched eRockster, a music streaming and social network site geared for the 13-34 rock and pop music demo. ERockster streams will soon be available through various CC station sites and as an HD2 side channel, with a syndicated FM show to follow. They even have a celebrity spokesperson on board!
And, in his blog today (which you can find in the right-hand column of every issue), RAIN publisher Kurt Hanson discusses the evolution of CBS's digital play -- from being the last of the major broadcast radio streaming holdouts to the company's acquisition of Last.fm and partnership with AOL Radio to the company's "Rethink" strategy for the future of radio.
