About: AgileWiki is meant to create software systems which are fluid,
easily configured and can be reorganized on-the-fly to meet ever changing
requirements. It includes a COW-based database, the Rolonics programming
paradigm, and semantic inferencing.

Changes: Internal Rolon names now include a timestamp. Snapshots are
created when a Rolon is updated. These are linked to by the transaction
Rolon. A new snapshots command allows navigation to the snapshots of a
Rolon. Various fixes and enhancements have been made to the wellknown and
move parent commands. This release includes the cowdb3.4.3 fix for forks.

[005] - BG-Tiny Linux Bootdisk 0.7
by Bodo Giannone (http://freshmeat.net/users/bgiannone/)
Sun, Apr 27th 2008 12:24

System :: Installation/Setup
System :: Operating System :: Linux Distributions :: Floppy-Based
System :: Recovery Tools

About: BG-Tiny Linux Bootdisk is a Linux bootdisk that does not use a
ramdisk, so it will run on computers with very little RAM. It is basically
a somewhat extended fork of Tiny Linux Bootdisk. It is based on Linux 2.4
series, uClibc, and BusyBox. It includes dosfsprogs, e2fsprogs, gpart,
lilo, and ms-sys. Supported filesystems are ext2, ext3, iso9660, tmpfs,
and vfat.

Changes: The whole system has been recompiled and linked statically
against uClibc 0.9.27. This saves some kilobytes of disk space. The
askfirst feature has been activated to start shells on additional
terminals only when needed. This saves quite a lot of RAM. The unzip
applet has been added. When compared to version 0.6, the total amount of
free RAM (free low RAM + buffers + cached) is now 772kb instead 672kb on a
machine with 4 MB of RAM. This is an improvement of 100kb.

[007] - boxtream 0.998
by Jerome Alet (http://freshmeat.net/users/jalet/)
Sun, Apr 27th 2008 06:14

Communications :: Conferencing
Desktop Environment :: Tools
Multimedia :: Sound/Audio :: Capture/Recording

About: Boxtream is both an audio and video encoder and streamer and an
assembly of audio and video hardware, forming a mobile video streaming
studio. It is designed to easily record and stream live presentations,
including a presenter and synchronized slides, or slides only, or
presenter only. It was built to stream live courses over the Internet for
distance learning students. It supports and autodetects several brands and
models of video switchers. It can be entirely controlled remotely over
XML-RPC, and includes an X11 interface. By default, it supports five
different streaming and recording scenarios. The software part can also be
used with very minimal hardware, like a DV camcorder and a laptop.

Changes: Basic support for Kramer video switchers was added. An A/V sync
problem in the default hardware configuration was fixed. Graphviz dot
files are generated automatically from the running GStreamer pipeline. The
package now includes the schema of the general hardware architecture. Lots
of small bugfixes and improvements were done all over the place. Licensing
terms were changed to GNU GPL 3.0 or later. Be aware that you must delete
the existing version before installing this one, since the streaming
scenarios have been renamed.

Sun, Apr 27th 2008 17:32

Communications :: Email
Communications :: Email :: Filters

About: dgrey is a greylisting policy server that allows greylist
information to be synchronized between multiple mail servers. All
information is shared between the nodes and the nodes are equal; there is
no master. The nodes may lose communication for a while and still be able
to correctly resynchronize later. This works because all nodes keep a log
of changes to the database. All communication is done across TCP
connections, which can optionally be password protected. dgrey works with
mail transfer agents such as Postfix and Exim.

[019] - DUMA 2.5.14
by Hayati Ayguen (http://freshmeat.net/users/hayguen/)
Sun, Apr 27th 2008 17:45

Software Development :: Debuggers
Software Development :: Libraries
Software Development :: Testing

About: DUMA (Detect Unintended Memory Access) stops your program on the
exact instruction that overruns (or underruns) a malloc() memory buffer.
GDB will then display the source-code line that causes the bug. It works
by using the virtual-memory hardware to create a red-zone at the border of
each buffer: touch that, and your program stops. It can catch formerly
impossible-to-catch overrun bugs. DUMA is a fork of Bruce Perens' Electric
Fence library.

Changes: The switch DUMA_ALLOW_MALLOC_0 has been removed. The switches
DUMA_MALLOC_0_STRATEGY and DUMA_NEW_0_STRATEGY have been added, and now
the allocator for size zero is ANSI/C++ standard compliant. Most compiler
warnings have been removed. A suggestion for ~/.gdbinit and a hint on
mprotectFailed() have been added. The README has been updated.

[031] - LambdaRogue 0.2 (beta 7)
by Mario Donick (http://freshmeat.net/users/mariodonick/)
Sun, Apr 27th 2008 08:23

Games/Entertainment :: Role-Playing

About: LambdaRogue is a rogue-like role playing game set in the future of
a somehow "parallel world" to our own. People had to go underground to
survive a war between human society and the once peaceful Drakh'Nar,
another species on the p***t. People founded the NeoTerr nation and tried
to build up a prosperous civilization. This worked, until suddenly strange
creatures came down the Great River Styx. The river has now become a
source of fear and terror. The player has to follow the river through
NeoTerr and discover the reason. The atmosphere is rather strange,
influcenced by phantasy and cyberpunk.

Changes: The complete background story has been removed. The game size has
been cut down to 10 levels, and there are only random levels now. All
monsters, items, and spells have been reworked (this process is not
finished yet). There are some enhancements to gameplay.

by ingo_opp (http://freshmeat.net/users/ingo_opp/)

Multimedia :: Video

About: yamdi stands for Yet Another MetaData Injector and is a metadata
injector for FLV files. It adds the onMetaData event to your FLV files. It
uses little memory, is fast, and can handle big files (over 1 GB).

Changes: Due to a bug in the generated metadata, Adobe's flvcheck tool
complained about invalid metadata. This has been fixed. The generated
metadata can now be written to an XML file.

About: ZRTP Protocol Library is an implementation of Phil Zimmermann's
ZRTP protocol, created based on and interoperable with Zfone beta 2.
Combined with the GNU RTP Stack (ccrtp), this offers the ability to create
communication services that natively support the ZRTP protocol.

Changes: This release implements the ZRTP protocol as described in the
current draft "draft-zimmermann-avt-zrtp-06x". GNU ZRTP has been tested to
work with Phil Zimmerman's latest public beta of his Zfone project (dated
April 2nd, 2008).
