Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is the most common form of inflammatory arthritis. The disease is three times more common in women than men. RA usually develops between 30 and 50 years of age but it can develop in anyone at any age. Even with physical limitations, rheumatoid arthritis patients can have a good quality of life.
