Tort reform vote on hold in state House |
|
After more than an hour of debate, the House sponsor of this year's comprehensive tort reform bill suddenly asked that the state House of Representatives postpone a vote on the measure. Earlier, Republicans and Democrats in the House
joined forces to defeat an amendment to SB 156 that would have deleted the entire 130-page bill, replacing the language with a proposed constitutional amendment further limiting contingency fees. |
