A Note from Linda:
Hi Criss,
Today, for the first time ever, I visited the famous San Diego Zoo.
It was quite an experience, especially since I only had 3 hours to throw at it. I ran from exhibit to exhibit trying to take it all in.
I have to say, the giraffes were my favorite. Talk about frisky. They were chasing each other around like giddy colts! The ones you see here are the baby giraffes.
I've always thought that if God had made me an animal instead of a human, I would have been a giraffe.
Okay. I'm weird! But haven't YOU ever wondered what animal you would have been? :-)
Today's Tip
Most of the time I tell you how to do something in digital scrapbooking, but today I'm going to tell you something you should NEVER do.
It's not the end of the world if you do it, but knowing this tid bit could certainly save you some hassle down the road. You can read about it below.
Love and scrapbooking success,

Linda Sattgast

April Premier: EMBOSSING TECHNIQUES
Lesson #3 & 4: Embossed Flower & Leaves
One of the fun things you can do with the embossing technique I teach in this issue of Premier is to create simple embossed shapes like this flower and leaves.
First we'll create one embossed petal. Then we'll use the Transform tool to effortlessly turn copies of the petal into an entire flower. And finally, we'll use a slightly different technique on the leaves for a fun, crafty look!

Tip of the Week:
Soft As A Feather
I got home fairly late today from my business trip to San Diego, so I'm going to make today's tip short and sweet and tell you why I NEVER use the feathering field in the Options Bar.
As most of you know, feathering gives a selection outline a soft edge. One of the ways you might want to use a soft edge is when you make a vignette like the one you see here.
