Author:  Scott Heim, critically acclaimed writer is best known for his novel, Mysterious Skin, which was made into the 2005 film starring Elizabeth Shue, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Brady Corbet.  Fans who have been anticipating Scott's next move will be thrilled to discover his new novel, We Disappear, a dark and compelling work about lost innocence, family responsibility, the dangers of obsession and ultimately the power of love between a mother and son.

Scott's fiction, nonfiction, and reviews have also appeared in the Village Voice, Out, Paper, The Advocate, Interview, Time Out New York, The Abercrombie & Fitch Quarterly, Nerve, The Barcelona Review, The Kansas Quarterly, Men's Style, The Pacific Review, Christopher Street, Cottonwood, The James White Review, The Santa Monica Review, The Minnesota Review, as well as other magazines and journals.

Scott was born and raised in central Kansas.  He holds degrees from the University of Kansas and Columbia University, and has lived and worked in New York, London, and Cape Cod - he now lives in Boston.  He is the author of three novels including In Awe (1997), and a book of poems, Saved From Drowning (1993).  Scott is extremely well known in the gay community and his work is considered some of the best in gay literature.  He has been interviewed on National Public Radio's Weekend Edition and Fresh Air, and he has won fellowships to the London Arts Board and to the Sundance Screenwriters Lab for his adaptation of Mysterious Skin.  His website/weblog can be found at:  www.ScottHeim.co m
