Hello everyone!

My name is Libby and I will be taking over the newsletter as Jessica moves on and up to a new opportunity. I very much look forward to becoming a part of your friendly community and putting together this fun publication for you.

A little about me: I grew up here in Utah and have lived here most of my life. I’m primarily a card maker, but I did make a medieval mural once using only scrapbooking tools so…I have been known to get carried away.

Taking over this newsletter has been very exciting for me, but I’ll need a little help from you guys to make it as enjoyable and varied as possible. I need your submissions and ideas for the featured “Quote” and “Tip,” as well as the “What I Have Learned,” and “Project Corner.” And most certainly send yourselves in for a “Spotlight”—I want to get to know you guys!

Until next time, I wish you happy crafting!

Libby

Supplies:

Card Stock
Scissors
Foam tape
HugWare You Could Use:
Hummingbirds and Blossoms
Instructions:

Step 1. I used my scanner to crop the image several times and saved each one on my computer, then opened Word and inserted all the saved images onto 1 sheet, printed it out on cardstock.
Step 2. I then cut out each layer and lined them up from largest to smallest and attached them with foam tape to give them depth between layers.

Step 3. Click here for full instructions, supplies, and to see how it turned out!

Top Tip:
We are retired and travel a lot. Since we use a laptop when we are gone, I didn't have my Hug Club graphics. I solved that by putting all my Hug Club downloads (and my hug-bug deluxe) on an external hard drive that I can take wherever I go. All I need are shortcuts on my desktop and laptop.

What I Have Learned:
I was throughing away some old address labels that had myold address on them and I decided since my name was still correct and printed so small already on a sticker for me I'd find a use for them. I cut just the line with my first and last name, but cut to the end of the label so it's easy to pull off the backing. You can always trim them after. Then I went to work puting my name on all of my sharable tools and pencil and pens that I take to crops. It worked great!

About:
I just want to send a few words of thanks and praise. I really appreciate all the work that goes in to this site as well as the artwork. I am not an artist at all, but when I create things using the clipart here, I feel like an artist!

I also find that a lot of the clipart reminds me of myself! You know the old saying, "you ought to be in pictures"? Well, my new saying is I am a Hug Bug, a true bonafide in the picture Hug Bug! The Senior Moments especially!.

I use my clipart sets to scrapbook with, as well as making things for my grandchildren. We have lots of fun, and the cost is minimal.

The project section has also helped me in choosing and making gifts. Who knows, maybe one day I will be good enough to submit a project, but as for now, I will be content to just practice!

In the meantime, keep up the good work, as I am addicted!
