Game on! Sonics saying bye-bye to Seattle, but when?
Oklahoma City got its wish of having a NBA basketball team, it's just a matter of when. The NBA Board of Governors on Friday voted 28-2 to grant relocation of the Seattle SuperSonics to Oklahoma City. The team will move to the Ford Center, pending the outcome of litigation involved the lease of KeyArena. If the ownership group, led by Clay Bennett, is allowed to pay off the lease for two years, the team will play here next season. If not, the first season here will in 2010-11.
Drivers stay on the road, despite record gas prices
Record prices at the pump aren't keeping Americans from getting behind the wheel. U.S. Department of Energy figures showed a decrease in inventory of 5.5 million barrels less than the previous week. Drivers in Oklahoma are now paying record high amounts for unleaded gasoline. According to AAA Oklahoma, the average cost reached a record $3.31 statewide. National records are broken nearly every day. The U.S. average is up to $3.44. Diesel has taken the same path and is at a record $4.17 per gallon.

Arkansas high court rules in LSB's favor
Arkansas Supreme Court upholds a $9.8 million judgment in favor of OKC-based LSB Industries over fire damage at its El Dorado Chemical Co. plant in Arkansas. The judgment was for damage caused by failure of a hot gas expander rebuilt by Dresser Rand.

House advances tort reform bill
The tort reform bill House Republicans advanced on April 9 is very similar to the measure vetoed by the governor last year. In 2007, Gov. Brad Henry had vetoed Senate Bill 507 because, the governor said, he objected to the included "hard cap" on non-economic damages. The bill would have prevented judge or jury from awarding an injured person more than $300,000 for their "pain and suffering."
