Dear Criss,
This week is the debut on VoiceAmerica of an Internet radio talk show called "Teach Your Children Well," hosted by Rich Weinfeld and Michelle Davis. Readers of 2e Newsletter know Rich for his work with 2e children in Montgomery County, Maryland.
The first of the weekly shows, to be broadcast April 18th at 12 noon Eastern time, covers "great teachers," with guest Todd White of the National Institute for Excellence in Training.
The second show, April 25th, is scheduled to feature guest Jonathan Mooney, author of "Outside the Lines." Partner Linda and I heard Mooney last week at the AEGUS conference in Los Angeles; if you've never heard him give his perspective on what it's like to grow up gifted and LD, catch this show. If you tune in later in the show you might be lucky enough to hear yours truly, co-publisher of 2e Newsletter, offer a few observations about what has happened recently in the world of 2e.
On May 2nd, the scheduled guest is Mary Ruth Coleman, past president of CEC. The week's topic: How to meet the needs of children with special needs, including both gifted and special education students.
Shows may be heard live as they're broadcast or as archives. For more information about "Teach Your Children Well," check this link. |
