7-8pm -- CITY CONFIDENTIAL(R) - 112 - Barrington: Terror in the Suburbs
The town of Barrington, Rhode Island is filled with fancy boutiques,
gourmet pet food shops, and vintage book stores, all catering to the
wealthy and well-educated. An upscale suburb of nearby Providence,
it's an ideal community where well-to-do families raise perfect kids.
But Barrington is also the place where, in September 1991, an
All-American family, the Brendels, vanished into thin air--until a
heavy rain revealed a shallow grave with three bodies in it. Narrated
by Paul Winfield.
8-9pm -- Notorious - Murder In Cold Blood.
Chronicles the 1959 murder of the Clutter family in Kansas, and the
investigation that led to the capture, trial, and execution of their
two killers, Richard Hickock and Perry Smith. Six years later, Truman
Capote transformed the family slaughter into an immortal American
horror story titled In Cold Blood. The story is chilling, even without
the notoriety and prose of Capote. Features rare and exclusive
interviews with those directly involved in the case and Richard
Hickock's audio confessions.
9-10pm -- BIOGRAPHY(R) - Dana Plato
Chronicles the tragic life of the Diff'rent Strokes star who died of a
drug overdose at 35. Born to an unwed, teenage mother, Plato was put
up for adoption. She appeared in her first TV ad when she was just 7,
and at age 14 she was hired for Diff'rent Strokes. Six years later she
was forced to leave the show when she became pregnant. Plato then
languished in the world of B-movies and even soft core pornography,
all the while struggling with an addiction to prescription drugs and
alcohol. Plato's rise and fall continues to have a haunting effect on
the culture of child celebrity in Hollywood.
10-11pm -- The Truth Behind the Sitcom Scandals - Gilligan's Island &
Diff'rent Strokes

cast members recount the stories you've never heard before. First
we'll travel on the SS Minnow to Gilligan's Island, the classic 60's
comedy about seven castaways shipwrecked on an uncharted tropical
island. And next, we'll look behind-the-scenes at Diff'rent Strokes,
the popular 80's sitcom that tackled many social issues successfully
with humor, despite the real-life troubles of its three young stars.

7-8pm -- CITY CONFIDENTIAL(R) - 19 - Fairbanks
Who killed popular Alaskan Joe Vogler? Was it agents of the federal
government that he constantly fought? Was it someone after his
valuable gold claims? Or was it his best friend? This account of one
of Alaska's most infamous crimes takes you into the rowdy bars,
forbidding wilderness, and modern skyscrapers of Fairbanks. Narrated
by Paul Winfield.
8-9pm -- Notorious - The Killer Within.
Bill Kurtis probes the bizarre murder case of Tom Bonney, who shot his
19-year-old daughter 27 times in 1987. Claiming that he suffers from
multiple personalities disorder, Bonney says that one of his "other"
personalities committed the killing.
9-10pm -- BIOGRAPHY(R) - Robin Williams
A look at the career of the wild, outrageous, and frantic
actor-comedian who's become one of the entertainment world's most
familiar faces. Soaring to stardom with the hit TV show Mork and Mindy
and the movie Good Morning, Vietnam, Williams's prolific but
up-and-down film career has included roles in the acclaimed Good Will
Hunting, the corny Patch Adams, and dark dramas like One Hour Photo.
We'll look at his work on behalf of the homeless, and his seemingly
inexhaustible energy--he currently has six projects in production.
10-11pm -- BIOGRAPHY(R) - Sasha Baron Cohen
Portrait of the innovative and controversial comic who created the
off-the-wall characters as Ali G and Borat. Cohen was born to an
orthodox Jewish family in London and studied history at Cambridge
before turning to comedy in 1995. As the dumb hipster Ali G, Cohen
interviewed such luminaries as Ralph Nader, Donald Trump, and Newt
Gingrich, and had them all believing that Ali G was a real person. And
as the bumbling Borat from Kazahkstan, Cohen infuriated the government
of that nation with his movie, Borat! Cultural Learnings of America
for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan. The movie garnered
Cohen a Golden Globe, as well as several law suits from disgruntled
interview subjects who appeared in the film.

A look at the case of Debra Jean Milke, on death row in Arizona for

But Milke claims her conviction hinges on the unsupported word of one
police officer and the vengeful testimony of embittered family
members.

popular singing star who came out of Appalachia to conquer the music
world as few have ever done. After gaining success as a songwriter in
the mid-1960s, Dolly became Porter Wagoner's singing partner, and then
stuck out on her own. She scored hit after country hit, then crossed

conquered Hollywood with her starring role in 9 to 5. Today, Dolly is
a pop culture icon and one of the entertainment world's most durable

Meth has always been a largely poor, white, rural phenomenon. But new
law enforcement initiatives have restricted sales of Sudafed,
destroying the small labs where meth was being made and creating an
opportunity for Mexican cartels, which already have distribution
networks in place, to send meth into urban areas. The first city
caught in Meth's grip is Atlanta, Georgia... the eastern hub of
legitimate trade as well as drug traffic. This special will take a
multi-faceted look at this new phenomenon--at the users; the activists

7-8pm -- CITY CONFIDENTIAL(R) - 98 - St. Louis: Family Man, Hit Man
Ever since Lewis and Clark paddled past St. Louis, it's been the
gateway to the west. Unfortunately for St. Louis, heading west in
search of a better life was a hard habit to shake. By the 1990s, so
many had fled to the suburbs that the old joke about the Gateway Arch
being "a monument to the people who left town" wasn't so funny. But
moving to the safe suburbs proved deadly for a housewife, while her
husband was miles away on a "daddy's weekend" with the four kids. Paul
Winfield narrates.
8-9pm -- Notorious - Teen Thrill Killers.

killed a music teacher, and Foster bragged about how cool it was to
see the teacher's face blown off with a shotgun. And in Tacoma,
Washington, eight boys aged 11-19 beat a young boy to death as if they
were simply playing a game.
