Scared Scriptless unwinds audience

Jason Martin's entire forearm, heaved from his lap, smacked the table at Moose's Tooth Pub and Pizzeria with an obnoxious thud, patently irritating the neighboring patrons. But everyone at his table was laughing too hard to notice or care - Jason's mime of his hypothetically massive penis was too perfect.

Columnist wants Young out of office

Many things come to mind when I hear Don Young: environmentalist-hater. Bridge builder. Temperament of a kindergartener. Money-hungry. That one embarrassment to Alaska who somehow still keeps floundering along - maybe his bloated ego is the only thing that keeps him afloat while the waves of controversies and career-damning exposures pummel him. 'Do It'

The expression "beating a dead horse" comes to mind upon the first listen to Clinic's newest full-length release, "Do It." Despite delivering their usual collection of harsh downbeats, fuzzy organ tones and cunningly strange vocals, Clinic's inability to reinvent their sound since 2002's "Walking with Thee" insists an eyebrow be raised in concern for the group's real musical credibility. BEIJING - Crisis. Disarray. Sadness. Four months before the opening of what was supposed to be the grandest Olympics in history, the head of the International Olympic Committee is using words that convey anything but a sense of joyous enthusiasm. The protest-marred Olympic torch relay and international criticism of China's policies on Tibet, Darfur and human rights have turned the Beijing Games into one of the most politically charged in recent history and presented the IOC with one of its toughest tests since the boycott era of the 1970s and '80s. Is Begich campaigning dirty already?

Anchorage Mayor Mark Begich definitely has a sense of timing, perhaps just not tact.
