New owners beef up tech learning center
The new Tulsa franchisee of New Horizons Computer Learning Center hopes to dramatically raise annual revenue through increased classroom space and instructor access. Tulsa businessman Clay Slaton acquired the franchise with Derek Wright, president and chief executive of a nine-center New Horizons conglomerate based in Austin, Texas. Gilreath and Martin Inc. of Oklahoma City sold the Tulsa operation at 2431 E. 51st St., one of two dealt away by the Oklahoma City franchisee of New Horizons Computer Learning Center. Jeff and Dolores Mount also sold their Wichita office to Malcolm and Pam Berry.
Web venture offers way to retrieve login
Local physician and self-proclaimed serial entrepreneur Brian Stanton has come up with a way for people to give their heirs immediate, private access to wills, account passwords and other critical information after they die. Stanton's new Internet start-up, iGoodbye.com, provides a secure site to store such documents until they're needed. "Like all my ideas, I was looking for it for myself," said anesthesiologist Stanton. He said he couldn't find what he was searching for and decided to do it himself. Industrial engineer Tanya Sokolsky is Stanton's partner in the venture.

House panel refuses hearing on Nick's Law
They came back on Wednesday with more supporters and brandishing bigger pictures of their autistic children, but the group of parents lobbying for mandatory health insurance coverage of costs related to childhood autism was once again unsuccessful their attempt to get "Nick's Law" heard in committee in the House of Representatives. Yet, there will be other opportunities to get the language passed before the end of the legislative session in late May, those on both sides of the issue agree.
