Spring
By Janie Dawson

A while back in the newsletter we stated that… “To be compliant with internet tax laws we had to add several states to the list where we have to charge tax.” This has caused a lot of confusion and questions. I would like to clarify this a little for you. The reason that some states are now being charged taxes is because Tax law requires that an online company needs to collect sales tax in any State where they have an outlet or agent. We now have some kind of outlet or agent in those states being charged. I apologize for any confusion this may have caused. Thanks for your patience and understanding! Have a great week!

Top Tip:
Wallpaper stores sell their discontinued wallpaper sample books for a great price (mine sells them for $2). These are great for use as textured paper on your crafts and cards – and you get so much and such variety for a very good price.

What I Have Learned:
I keep two separate files of paper scraps. One is strictly acid-free, photo friendly and the other I have scrap packs that aren't clearly marked, but too good of a deal to pass up. In the 'Not Sure' scrap bin I can add pretty colored (used) envelopes, construction paper and quality wrapping paper. This way when I'm making cards I use less of my good stock. It especially comes in handy when you are looking for paper to punch shapes from or to frame a stamped image.
