Hey Shanghai,

Whoa man. Lots of good stuff happening this weekend. I'm real, real excited for it. I bet you're real, real excited for it like me.

So, I dunno. Let's see. Huge bummer on the Dandi Wind show at The Shelter. Local gobernatorials decided to deploy an A-Bomb of wackness on it and stop the show. Was it because Bjork got all mental on China? How can this be? "Human Behaviour" was pretty good but what has she done for us lately? She's irrelevant man! She's about as interesting as an in-flight meal on Air Uganda.

So anyways it's like its 9:15 on a Thursday night and Split Works and all the rest are still sorting through this thing. Here's what you have to do though... text this number 10657109095553. Using your China Mobile accounts to figure out IF it's going to happen and where. Could be in ... I dunno YYT ... Live Bar ... JZ Club ... Oriental Pearl TV Tower ... my parents' basement ... who knows. If it actually happens, though, it will be all the more poignant. Like "Wonder Years" poignant. It will come off as all the more rebellious. It will be real ... US and NOT THEM.

Before you were like, "Who the fuck is Dandi Wind?" Now you're like "Where the fuck is Dandi Wind?" Cosmic ballet...

What else. JG is celebrating their birthday this weekend. Congrats to them. And you know what: congrats to YOU too. What else. Tiesto this weekend. He's someone who seems POLARIZING, wish I knew who he was. Polish DJ at MAO. He's called SLG. And seems like a guy who should be hanging out playing some records all professionally. Watched the YouTube. Same with Stephane Pompougnac at Lounge 18. I hear he is a veritable Robespierre on the decks.

The YYT hosts a PUUUURRREE party with more French DJs than you can shake a well-prepared appetizer at and OMG OMG, the SUBS return to Shanghai! Very nice [SmSh interview here]. Speaking of A-Bombs. That's the realness. Let it wash down all over you.

Big news is Pinkhome didn't close down like people were saying, and is back hosting a sweetness Leatherboy party this Saturday. Head on down if you like it RUFF. What's the Bear scene like in Shanghai? Also, The Oval - which is that bar you hang out at all the time - hosts "Lust Love" the inaugural party of ASIF a new events company for the Queer community. Welcome boys, pull up a chair.

Oh, they released a picture of the dude who played Darth Maul dressed as Snake Eyes for the new G.I. Joe movie. Google that. It's probably the most important thing that's happened to me (and you) in a while.

Keep your stick on the ICE,

Da Admiral

Joke of the week

A cowboy rides his horse up to a saloon.

All the patrons gawked as the cowboy kissed his horse on the butt before coming in and asking for a drink.

The bartender serves him and asks, "Mind if I ask why'd ya kiss your horse on the butt?"

The cowboy says, "It's 'cause I got chapped lips."

The bartender asks, "Does manure help them heal?"

Cowboy replies, "No, but it keeps me from licking them."
