One nice thing about coming of age in the '90s: It was perfectly acceptable to wear a vintage dress to your prom. Mine cost ten dollars and almost fit. It was the only time my Mom didn't complain about my love of vintage clothing. She calculated that I'd saved her about two-hundred bucks.
