Recycling Crafts: What's Old Is New!

March 28, 2008

In this issue: Octopus from Sweater Sleeves, Make a Vintage Pillowcase Lunchbox, Shopping Bag Wallet, Fabric-Covered Switch Plates, Trash Wool Pet Toys

Hi Crafters,

I love the idea of recycling -- using old containers, scrap fabrics, or yarn to make something new again! This CRAFT newsletter is filled with recycled crafts projects so you can craft with what you have around the house, from an octopus puppet made from old sweater sleeves to a pretty vintage pillowcase lunch box.

Happy crafting!

Cheers,

Pink Chalk Studio made these colorful fabric covered switch plates. I love her technique for sewing an extra piece of fabric in the middle to keep the fabric lines clean when you glue the switch plate to the fabric. A great way to use up your fabric scraps!
