We bring you exciting news about the outcomes of our trinational conference on NAFTA renegotiation and the last leg of our "Better Neighbors" speaking tour, which is starting in San Francisco next week and continuing up the West Coast. Click here to see if these U.S., Canadian, and Mexican experts are coming to your town.

On March 5th and 6th in Washington DC, legislators and civic organizations from the U.S., Canada, and Mexico all convened to discuss alternative visions to the current NAFTA model. New strategies on moving forward with these alternatives include:

  • A trinational legislative task force on NAFTA renegotiation was formed and has organized a meeting in Mexico to discuss a plan of action.

  • In New Orleans this April 21st and 22nd a trinational working group is teaming up with grassroots groups in New Orleans to organize a teach-in protesting the 4th Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) summit where Presidents Bush and Calderon will meet behind closed doors with Canadian Prime Minister Harper and their top corporate allies from all three countries.

  • Groups from all three countries are joining forces to advocate for a change to NAFTA's agricultural chapter.
