MySpace Suicide

It was one year ago that 13-year-old Megan Meier took her own life after a budding romance on MySpace went bad. Meier's parents quickly learned that their daughter's online love interest, "Josh Evans," was a hoax — allegedly fabricated by one of her former friends and the girl's mother, Lori Drew. The Meiers believe Drew's actions led to their daughter's death. But with few laws addressing such hi-tech cases, will prosecutors succeed in building a criminal case against her? Detroit Mayor Indicted

But seven years later, he remains embroiled in a sex scandal that has cost the city millions of dollars in lawyers' fees and a settlement to two police officers who blew the whistle on the scandal. Today, Kilpatrick and his chief of staff were charged with perjury and obstruction of justice stemming from attempts to cover up the scandal. ABC's Vicki Mabrey investigates. Read more here.

But in cell phone-obsessed Finland, birthplace of Nokia, flirtatious text messaging does not necessarily equal political suicide. ABC's Jim Sciutto has the story of a Finnish foreign minister whose racy texts to an exotic dancer may have even boosted his popularity.
