Conference News
Save the date! AHRQ's 2008 Annual Conference will be held September 7-10 in Bethesda, MD, at the North Bethesda Marriott. - March 18, 2008: Tiotropium (marketed as Spiriva HandiHaler): Ongoing safety monitoring has identified a possible increased risk of stroke.
- March 12, 2008: Prezista (darunavir): Changes to the WARNINGS section of the prescribing information regarding the risk of hepatotoxicity.
- March 11, 2008: Long-Acting Hydrocodone-Containing Cough Product (marketed as Tussionex Pennkinetic Extended-Release Suspension): FDA informed healthcare professionals of life-threatening adverse events and death in patients, including children. Tussionex is contraindicated for use in patients less than 6 years of age because of their susceptibility to life-threatening and fatal respiratory depression.
