MMM. SAKE, SAKE.

Don’t know much about this traditional
Japanese beverage?

Well, don’t worry RA Sushi is here to help with
a little Sake 101!

Impress your friends with this sake knowledge!

Did you know…
•Sake is actually a rice wine, not hard alcohol!
•Sake is typically between 15 and 19 percent alcohol. That's more than a beer and most wines!
•Sake is free from sulfites and other hangover-causing additives.
•Japanese custom says it's bad luck to pour your own sake so be sure to pour one another's!
•"Kampai" is the traditional Japanese toast when drinking sake; it is similar to "cheers" in English!
•All RA drink menus include a sake rating scale (Sake Value Meter) ranging from +10 to -20. The lower the number, the sweeter the sake. The higher the number, the drier the sake.

SAKE SAMPLING IS HOTTER THAN
A BIG BITE OF WASABI!
Grab your friends and swim on in to RA where you can put your newfound sake knowledge and your taste buds to the test.

RA offers 14 different kinds of sake in addition to a full menu selection of fresh sushi and cooked dishes that go together better than a hot summer day and a cool ocean breeze. Sample these varieties of sake with your favorite RA dishes:

Try the “RA”ckin’ Shrimp paired with a dry sake such as the Hananomai Katana (+7).

Sweeter sakes, including the Kizakura Nigori (-5), complement RA favorites such as the
Viva Las Vegas Roll.

Not a big sushi fan? Well then opt for the Yuzu Halibut with a slightly dry sake such as the
Kizakura Pure (+2).
