I've seen some photos of American gas stations lately, with prices that I can only dream about: In Italy, where diesel fuel used to be much cheaper than gasoline, the price of both is nearing 1.4 Euros ($2.18), and that's per liter (!). Per gallon would be close to 8.75. Ouch.
