JOHN INVERDALE ON THE SIX NATIONS FINALE
The 2008 Six Nations draws to a close with a championship decider at the Millennium Stadium between Wales and France.

The Welsh coaching team of Warren Gatland and Shaun Edwards have channelled the invention and ability of their squad and as a result they have produced the best rugby of this tournament.

However, if there was one team that Wales wouldn't want to play to try and win the title against it would be France.

I can see the French winning the match, but not by the 20-point margin they need to wrestle the championship away from the Welsh.

At Twickenham, England play Ireland without Jonny Wilkinson starting at fly-half.

Coach Brian Ashton was faced with a damned if you do, damned if you don't scenario about the axing of rugby union's highest-ever international points scorer.

But the match has nothing riding on it apart from pride, so to give somebody else a game is the natural solution.

And Wilkinson's replacement, Danny Cipriani, has the force with him at the moment.

There is a hype and clamour about the young Wasps man, he is young, cool and has an image that makes him a footballer in rugby's clothing.

England were so metronomic and predictable against Scotland that maybe they need someone with Cipriani's swagger and arrogance.

Scotland travel to Italy and it will be very interesting to see how they follow up their performance at Murrayfield.

It's a difficult game to call as I feel the Italians are playing better than they were last year.

Sport Relief also takes place this weekend.

I travelled to South Africa earlier in the year and it was great when you see the money that the public raises going to such worthwhile causes.

Sport Relief Miles are taking place all over Great Britain and I hope the weather forecast doesn't put any of you off taking part.

It's set to be a great day for communities across the country and it will be a lot of fun.

Enjoy your weekend,
John
