Be Challenged

Design Team member Elisabeth H. issued this challenge on the message boards this week:

I find keeping a monthly calendar a bit overwhelming sometimes. It's easier to cut the time in smaller pieces and plan from that. I have made myself a weekly calendar that I can have on my computer screen or at the fridge, wherever I might need to have it!



It's a 6x6" patterned paper as background, and the planner is made by stamping a 4x5" paper with a calendar stamp and a journal stamp. It has then been covered with book plastic or Contact paper(the kind you use on kids' school books), I also adhered a piece of chipboard on the back to make it more sturdy, and attached it on the background paper. A few flowers, and I was ready!



I use a non-permanent OH-pen to write on it, as the planning part is covered with plastics, I can easily wipe my notes away!

My challenge for you this week is to create something to use when you plan your time! It can be a simple fridge-magnet like this, or a project-planning note book, just anything used for planning time!

I wanted to take the time to introduce another member of the Design Team:



Vicki R.

Hi, I'm Vicki Robertson, and I'm thrilled and honored to be part of the great design team for KT Crafts.

My wonderful husband, John, and I live in the beautiful Pocono Mountains in Northeast Pennsylvania. He totally supports my scrapbooking addiction and is always ready to peruse my latest creation. We have two beautiful daughters, a great SIL, future SIL, and two cherished grandsons.

I have been scrapbooking since my high school days (so, its been a long time), but scrapping the "new way" since 2000. I love the endless design possibilities and it is a gratifying creative outlet. My scrapbooking addiction has been a source of great joy for me and my family. Many of our most treasured moments are now on paper! I have made many new friends through my scrapbooking connections and thoroughly enjoy the opportunities it has presented me.

When I am not scrapping, I enjoy spending time with my family, doing genealogy research, and riding my Harley!

KT Crafts is so very lucky to have Vicki on our team! She has been with us for almost a year and has proven herself to be a valued member of the team!!

Well, we have hidden 40 eggs all around the site!! This counts message board, gallery and Design Team blog!

The Design Team has been hard at work planning our next crop!


The date is set: March 14-16th!

We will have lots of games, prizes and challenges! Actually, we have so much planned that we are giving everyone a week to complete challenges!!

Spring Has Sprung! (at least we hope it will be springing soon!)

AT KT Crafts we are in the mood for Spring! So we want to see your best Spring layout!

To make it a little more interesting we also want to see embossing on the layout somewhere! It can be dry or heat embossing!!

So here are the rules:
1. Create a project that shows us SPRING.
2. Include embossing on the layout somewhere!
3. Only one submission entry per participant. Must be 8x8 or larger and 2 pagers are counted as one submission.
4. Please include journaling, detail pictures and a supply list.
5. Participant may not have won a monthly contest at KT Crafts within the past 6 months.
6. Entries will be judged on creative use of theme and materials used.

Deadline is March 24 at midnight EST Winner will be announced by March 28th

Please keep submission size between 400-500K.
