An exclusive peek at Canada Blooms the Toronto Flower & Garden Festival
March 12 – 16, 2008

With more than 30 spectacular feature gardens, it’s difficult to choose a favourite. But the People’s Choice Garden Award, presented by The National Post, Global Television and Newstalk 1010 CFRB, challenges you to do just that. Cast your ballot and you could win a trip for two to discover the gardens of Ireland, courtesy of Tourism Ireland and Air Canada. The prize includes two roundtrip air tickets from Toronto to Ireland provided by Air Canada, seven nights accommodation, daily breakfast and car rental. Plan your visit to the show any evening after 5 p.m. and save $8 off the price of an adult ticket, courtesy RBC.

New this year, the Marketplace features themed areas, including the crafts of Artisan Alley; Living Green, with its focus on lifestyle, food and travel; and the Green Corner, full of eco-friendly products. You’ll find the latest products, such as Paverpol, an environmentally friendly art medium that can be sculpted into one-of-a-kind garden art, available at the DutchHill, booth 17 in Artisan Alley.

Each day of the show, top gardening celebrities offer tips and advice on everything from organic gardening to xeriscaping. Breakfast Television’s Frankie Flowers shows you how to make your garden greener, Mark Cullen offers an ecological garden primer and Art Drysdale hosts a gardening Q&A.
