Perception vs Reality By Shaman North
It is amazing how we as humans look at the world around us. We decide what we believe or not based on
flawed and at times bad information. For example north american society is based on christian concepts that
have been ingrained into our lives from the day we are born. Thats great if you believe in that faith. Our laws
and ethics are based on the ten commandmits. Our schools teach a basic belief that you must be a certian
way to get ahead. That being the best is the only goal. I love the quote" he who dies with the most toys win;.
What a terrible thing to teach our children, Only the best or the richest or the prettyest have a value.
What if you are of a different faith, or color or ethnic background. Do you fit in this society, Where do
we place the value on the child that can't play sports ? What do we tell the child that is not going to
be the best looking girl in class? When do we praise the child with the kind heart but is only 20th in the
class as far as grades.
We have as a species defined the many ways we are different. We war against those that are different, justifying
our actions in the name of faith or creed. We condem all of those that do not think the way we want them to.
Because we consider ourselves in north american as the better
humans. That the rest of the world is somehow less. because they are not as rich or as advanced in some ways.
So many go through there lives unknown and alone because they are not fitting the right mode.
Feeling somehow less because thats what they have been taught to believe.
The point is that we all have value and much to contribute to our world. Each of us has equal worth.
Until humankind sees all people as wonderful vessals of spirit. That the things about us that are
different are much less than the things that make us the same. We will not evolve as a species
How do you see your world?

Addicted to Love by Joelle
Is it love or is it a type of addiction? Love addicts fall in love easily and often. They are head over heels before really getting to know the person. Internet dating has brought about a new phenomenon falling in love on-line without ever meeting the person. A few conversations in a chat room or instant messenger and the addict thinks he or she is in love. How can this be love? Its not. This type of addiction typically occurs when there is a voracious emptiness or appetite to connect with another person. What appears to be love to the addict is actually coming from a need. Love addicts often obsess for hours on end about the person of their desire. Even after the relationship has come to an end, theyll obsess about how they are going to get the person back.
When fantasy becomes an addiction its time to ask yourself if you feel powerless and out of control. If you find yourself spending hours thinking about the person, find it hard to concentrate, work, or even sleep, then things are out of control. The first step is recognizing you are doing this. Love addicts will often lie to themselves and their partner. They try to become who they think their partner wants them to be instead of who they really are.
Some steps to healing a love addiction are to always tell the truth and be true to who you are. When you meet someone new take it slow. Continue to maintain the friends and lifestyle you had before you met them. Set boundaries for yourself and keep your plans. When you respect yourself, your partner will respect you as well. When relationships are meant to be they will happen. Recovery from love addictions takes practice, however, recognizing there is a problem is the first step towards creating whole, healthy, happy relationships.

Seven of Cups
When I see this card I can see right away that you are surrounded by illusion. You take comfort in your fantasies and would much rather daydream about people and things you want but you may lack courage to go after it. Don't fantasize about the woman or man across the room. Go over and introduce yourself and try to get to know that person. If you have been wanting to move, get married or buy that new car wake up and start shifting priorities and snapping out of your daydreams to make them your reality. Do not fantasize about changes make changes to get your desired results. It is all taking what is in conscious mind and manifesting them into our reality.
