  Inside: This Week in Innovation
In this week's newsletter we report from the TED conference to bring you ideas and analysis from the annual gathering of design industry visionaries. The theme of this year's event, held over four days in Monterey, Calif., was "big questions" -- and speakers included former Vice-President Al Gore, musician and activist Bob Geldof, and a host of luminaries from many other fields. Check out the "Talk of Ted" blog, which was written live from the event. BusinessWeek's Seoul bureau chief Moon Ihlwan, meanwhile, reports on how the Korean capital, soon to host the Design Olympiad, is funding projects to promote more style in the city's homegrown brands. Columnists John Hagel and John Seely Brown parse the innovation lessons of Tata's recently announced $2,500 Nano car. Reporter Matt Vella spoke with Roger Martin, dean of the Rotman School of Management, about the potential pitfalls and rewards of trying to "buy" innovation through acquisition. And in another Q&A, he interviews Arup's Goman Ho, the man given the daunting task of building the world's largest airport in Beijing.
