BOOKS FOR UNDERSTANDING: The Former Yugoslavia

http://aaupnet.org/news/bfu/yugoslavia/list.html

Kosovo’s declaration of independence from Serbia is the latest break in
what was once the nation of Yugoslavia. A region whose internal
struggles have long had global repercussions, the need to understand the
current developments there is particularly urgent. Books for
Understanding, an online resource from the Association of American
University Presses, provides a guide to the latest and best scholarship
on the region.
