the cost must be:
- Reasonable
- Allocable
- Not contrary to the Cost
Accounting Standards (CAS)
- Not prohibited by terms of the contract,
and
- Not limited by FAR Part 31 Cost Principles
By definition
therefore, CAS, cost allowability and allocability are interrelated, and these
key concepts must be understood by all parties involved in Government
contracting. In this concentrated three-day seminar, you will obtain a thorough
understanding of the critical concepts of CAS, cost allowability and cost
allocability. Attendees will strengthen CFO-recommended core competencies for
financial managers, including increasing program effectiveness; understanding
financial, budget and management issues; and decreasing/maintaining unit
costs.
