Pino Baldassare

Pino Baldassarre has
held senior management and director
positions of new business start-ups
and established multinational organizations
and has over 25 years experience
in the Security and Communications
Industries. With leadership skills
in management of international operations,
shareholder exit strategies, and
overall business development, he
has utilized a wide range of strategic
programs to maximize organic growth
into specific industry segments
through OEM, alliances, and direct
multi-level distribution channels.
All while maximizing shareholder
value.
Most recently, Mr Baldassarre was
responsible for Business Development
of 123ID, a software development
corporation specializing in biometric
solutions, and acting President
and CEO of BPT Technologies, responsible
for the set up and implementation
of a North American division for
a European multinational company.
Over the years he has held many
senior positions such as the Managing
Director of The Logica Group, a
division of The Mackenzie Group,
NY, where he was responsible for
total corporate infrastructure development,
Intellikey Corporation Florida,
as Senior Vice President, and Pacific
Entrance Systems in Vancouver, where
he was President and CEO.
Pino is a recognized expert in his
field and he is regularly called
on to speak at conferences in both
Canada and the US on issues surrounding
National Security and merging technologies.
Pino holds a BA in Mathematics with
a minor in economics from York University,
Toronto and an MBA -INSEAD from
Fountainbleau, France. |

The founders of Animoto
Productions include veterans from
the TV &
film industry. Their first release
is Animoto (animoto.com), a web
application that automatically produces
unique, MTV-style music videos
using the images and music our users
select. No two videos are ever
the same. Produced in a wide-screen
format, each video is a fully
customized orchestration. The heart
of Animoto is its patent-pending
Cinematic Artificial Intelligence
technology that thinks like an
actual director and editor.This
A.I. makes the same sophisticated
post-production skills & techniques
that are used in television and
film accessible to everyone. Animoto
is based in New York City with an
office in San Francisco. Jason Hsiao
is the Co-Founder & President
of
Animoto Productions. Prior to Animoto,
Jason served a producer on a
variety of shows for MTV, Comedy
Central, and VH1. |

Gavin McGarry

McGarry is an integrated
media consultant specializing
in cross platform content.
He currently consults for
global IPTV company Joost.com
created by the founders of Skype
as well as start up funding
organizations MELT, and
North West Vision and Media
in the UK. He returned to
Canada from London in 2007
where he was Head
of Cross Platform Business
Development at Endemol.
His responsibilities included
creating and exploiting
content across multiple
platforms including mobile,
online, and broadcast. His
background includes business
start ups, creative & production
for television and online,
advertising experience,
and mobile content production.
Gavin is a graduate of the
Alliance Atlantis Banff
Television Executive Program
and teaches a course for
WIFT and the Humber School
of Media Studies and Information
Technology on Emerging Technologies.
He lives in Toronto. |

MacLean
VP and GM,
Games
Comcast
(USA) |
Jen’s
responsibilities at Comcast
include management of Comcast's
games products across all platforms,
focusing on outstanding customer
experiences for both core and
casual gamers. During her four
years at Comcast, she has launched
multiple products and websites
for Comcast customers, including
the PlayGames casual gaming
website and Game Invasion service.
Jen has had a long and varied
career in game development,
specializing in online content.
After beginning her career
at Microprose Software in 1992,
she joined AOL in 1996 as a
Product Manager in the Games
Channel; during her tenure
at AOL, she held numerous positions
in the AOL brand programming
division, including Programming
Director for the Games Channel.
Jen is a frequent speaker at
interactive entertainment industry
events, and has earned a BA
in International Relations
from the Johns Hopkins University
and an MBA with a concentration
in International Business from
the Columbia Business School. | |

Wallner

A filmmaker and producer
with an extensive background in
documentary film production and
interactive media, Thomas Wallner
is a recipient of numerous awards
including five Gemini nominations,
two Gemini Awards and two Emmys.
Most recently Thomas conceived and
wrote the award winning documentary
Mozartballs and recently wrote the
screenplay for the documentary Inside
Hana’s Suitcase, based on an
internationally best-selling children’s
book, to be released in Canadian and
international cinemas in 2008/9.
Prior to founding Xenophile, Thomas
worked as a producer at Toronto’s
ExtendMedia where he was responsible
for the creative vision, financing,
planning and execution of a broad
range of acclaimed interactive TV,
web and CD-ROM projects for clients
such as Ford, Alliance Atlantis and
PBS. Together with Patrick Crowe,
Thomas was responsible for defining
and creating all that company’s
best known convergent media productions.
For the past sixteen years, Thomas
has had an ongoing creative partnership
with Rhombus Media’s Larry Weinstein.
Together they have made a number of
internationally acclaimed films that
have been broadcast in more than 30
countries, including My War Years:
Arnold Schoenberg, Solidarity Song:
The Hanns Eisler Story, Beethoven's
Hair and Mozartballs.Thomas is an
internationally-recognized speaker
and panelist on documentary production
and interactive media innovation and
has expanded Xenophile’s expertise
in cross-platform production, establishing
it as one of best recognized companies
