Your Weekly List of Great Shows!
The La Jolla Music Society presents the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, Sunday, February 24th, at 8pm.

Under the baton of compelling conductor Svárovsky, the internationally-renowned Czech Philharmonic Orchestra brings to life the rich tradition of Czech music in this exciting all-Dvořák program. Audiences will be inspired as the 110-member strong orchestra performs Dvořák's beloved "New World Symphony," famous for its compelling and poignant reflection of turn-of-the-century America. The concert-going experience is enhanced by "Preludes" - pre-concert chats and performances - prior to each performance, free to ticket-holders. Eric Bromberger, violinist and program annotator, will give a pre-concert talk at 7 pm.
ARTS TIX is selling half-price tickets for this performance now. Click this link to purchase your tickets. ARTS TIX will stop selling tickets by Wednesday at 3pm, so be sure to get your tickets before it's too late!

Thursday's Half-price Tickets
Anton in Show Business
6th @ PENN Theatre (Hillcrest)
A savvy, savage backstage comedy by Jane Martin. Winner of the American
Theatre Critics Award - a hilarious, fast-paced and remorseless look
into the world of theatre. Skewering incompetent producers, idiot
directors, crass sponsors, self-important critics and high-maintenance
actors, this award-winning play also doesn't shy away from the richer
aspects of race, gender and social issues in the typical Jane Martin
way.
