While the surge in home foreclosures
continues in North Texas, other areas of the country are getting hit much harder.

Las Vegas
was among the top home foreclosure markets in 2007.
The Dallas area ranked eleventh nationally in total foreclosure filings in 2007, according to a new report Wednesday by RealtyTrac Inc.
It still had less than half the number of foreclosure filings in the top market – Riverside-San Bernardino, Calif. – which had more than 100,000 filings.
Other top home foreclosure markets last
year included Los Angeles, Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit and Las Vegas.
