HTC Finally Shifts the Shift
At this week's Mobile World Congress (MWC) trade show, mobile analyst Sascha Segan reports that HTC's long-awaited Shift mini-PC is finally going on sale. The Shift is a 1.76-pound mini-PC with a 7-inch touch screen and a 40GB hard drive, running Windows Vista. It connects to the Internet via Wi-Fi, tri-band HSDPA, or quad-band EDGE, so it will work on AT&T's or T-Mobile's networks. More details in our report.
Security Watch: More Phony Windows Update Sites on the Loose
F-Secure has identified a fairly convincing-looking fake Microsoft Update site. Superficially, the site has the look of Microsoft Update, but it has one prominent button and a message urging the user to "Get critical update (obligatory)." Check out Security Watch for more details and info on what malicious sites to look out for.
