From Oscar winning director Martin McDonagh comes the hit comedy of the 2008 Sundance Film Festival. Set in the idyllic storybook setting of Bruges, Colin Farrell and Ralph Fiennes star in this stylish, irreverent dark comedy thriller, that critics are calling "undeniably fun and refreshingly un-pc" - David Ansen, Newsweek
After a botched job in London, hit men Ray (Colin Farrell) and Ken (Brendan Gleeson) are ordered by their vicious boss Harry (two-time Academy Award(R) nominee Ralph Fiennes) to lay low in Bruges. The fast-talking and hard-living Ray, less than impressed with the fairy tale surroundings, sets out to find adventure. Before long, Ray's rumbling with some tourists, starting a romance with a local beauty, and partying with a surly American dwarf who's in town shooting a surrealist movie. But the trip gets really strange when a call finally comes from Harry, and Ken and Ray's vacation becomes a life-and-death struggle of darkly comic proportions and surprisingly emotional consequences.

The Town Hall presents the East Village Opera Company
Back by Popular Demand!
With arias and electric guitars, no one puts a fresher, bolder contemporary spin on opera's greatest hits than the East Village Opera Company. This powerhouse rock band transforms classic opera arias into songs evoking everything from the golden age of rock to hip-hop. In 2003, EVOC was co-founded by lead singer Tyley Ross and arranger/multi-instrumentalist Peter Kiesewalter, and since then they have assembled a full-on rock band, adding two guitars, bass, and drums to Peter's keyboards, then synched it to a string quartet.
"We have a profound love and respect for opera," said Peter Kiesewalter. EVOC celebrates the pomposity of rock and the pomposity of opera, without demeaning or satirizing either form. Don't miss the classics revived and electrified!
