Accepting Our Shadows
We are learning to embrace all we find within even those parts we deny or reject. Let this wildflower teach you how…
Leidberg’s Stonecrop
Affirmation of the Wildflower: I celebrate life
This bright yellow sedum humbly grows out of the rocks near the Columbia River. Its stem is a beautiful peachy-coral color. Leidberg’s Stonecrop flower helps us shine the light on our shadow or the places that are denied, we are ashamed of, or are hiding within. When we expose our shadows to the light, we can accept all that is within us as it is without judgment.
“Touch me with your wisdom
I feel your darkest secrets
And deepest hours
Embrace your sadness
Your days of death
And your regrets
You are a human
Being in a body
There is a celebration
When you can accept
A way of honoring all as one
Rise above the blame
And find it in your heart
To forgive
All
Your
Shadows
Circles
And lines” —Flower Deva
Keywords: Acceptance, shadow, forgiveness, denial, expectations, ancestral lines, shame, inner-child, celebrate rites of passage, psyco-somatic illness.
