Dear Criss,
2007 was a groundbreaking year for the Independent Women's Forum. Thanks to the thousands of individuals who support us around the country, I am proud to say that IWF is making a real impact in serious policy debates in Washington.
Only IWF stands up for women, men, and families who don't believe that Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, and other big government politicians know what's best for America. And, IWF is the only women's group that doesn't think men are to blame for all our problems.
Since 1992, we have promoted free-market policies that benefit all women and families. In doing so, we've become a prominent, national voice that counters liberals who use feminism to push a big government agenda.
Today, as Americans consider the future leadership of our great country, we need to do more than ever to get our message out. I hope that I can count on you for your help and support.
IWF is engaged in our "Leadership for 2008" policy summits. This is a critical effort to examine how public policy directly affects women, men and families. Next month, we will have a frank discussion with policymakers and parents about what real education reform means, and what the future holds if our nation's K-12 education system remains in the firm grip of teachers' unions.
We must get our message of limited government and personal responsibility to more Americans. We must dispel the myths of proposed "feel good" policies that you and I know will do more harm than good for American families. And we must beef up our efforts today.
Your financial contribution will provide the resources and expertise we need to expand our communications efforts. Last year, our scholars were on radio or television on average 1.5 times every working day. With your help, we will increase our media appearances in 2008.
Will you consider joining IWF today? With your generous, tax-deductible gift of $250 or more, I'll send you a signed copy of my new book Women's Progress: How Women Are Wealthier, Healthier, and More Independent than Ever Before, in which I provide concrete evidence that today, most women earn more than men, female poverty is decreasing and life expectancy increasing, and women are excelling in education and as professionals.
I hope I can count on you to make a tax deductible contribution to IWF today. Every dollar helps us spread our message. You can donate online to make a secure contribution to support our work. And if you are an AMEX cardholder, please donate here which not only saves IWF processing fees but earns you bonus reward points (which you can also donate to IWF!)
Thank you for your commitment. We are proud to have you on our side and we will not let you down.
