Steamed Wrapped Bananas and Glutinous Rice

banana leaves |

uncooked glutinous rice |
500 gm |

coconut milk |
2 cups |

ripe bananas |
1 bunch |

cooked black beans |
1/4 cup |

cane sugar |
1 cup |
|
salt |
2 tsp |
Preparation
| 1) Mix the sugar, salt and coconut milk in a large saucepan over low heat until well combined. |
2) Add the rice and continue cooking, stirring until the rice has absorbed all the liquid and is cooked. |
3) Cut each banana crosswise and lengthwise into 4 pieces. |
4) Fold two tablespoons of the rice mixture, one banana piece and 5-6 beans into the banana leaves (two leaves per serving). |
5) Steam the folded leaves over rapidly boiling water for about 30 minutes. |
