Washington D.C.'s taxi
system will
soon switch from a zone-based system to a "time and distance meter"
system. Washingtonians can use this map-based
resource, published by the Washington Post to figure out if
their taxi rides will cost them more or less with the new system. I
tried a few of the different pre-selected routes, all of which were
going to cost less. The map below shows the Capitol Hill to Foggy
Bottom route, which will be $0.50 cheaper (click for larger image).
