Showdown in Michigan

Michigan Republican voters today got a stab at narrowing down the Republican field for president. . For Michigan native-son Mitt Romney, who came in second in Iowa and New Hampshire after early leads in both states, his first- place finish in the the Automotive State reinvigorated his campaign and threw the GOP nomination wide open. "Nightline" co-anchor Cynthia McFadden is live from Detroit. On the other side of the race, the Democratic candidates debated in Nevada, and "Nightline" has the latest.

Bush in the Mideast

President Bush is in the midst of a five-day, six-country trip to the Middle East to gain support for Palestinian-Israeli peace talks. "Nightline" co-anchor Terry Moran sat down with President Bush early today at King Abdullah's guest palace in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Moran and Bush talk about peace in the Mideast, oil, the upcoming presidential election and a new ABC News poll that shows Bush has the lowest approval rating of his seven-year presidency. Sarkozy in the Limelight

French President Nicolas Sarkozy's approval ratings are below 50 percent -- in part because of his economic policies but also because of his personal life. Since taking office eight months ago, Sarkozy has divorced wife of 11 years, Cecilia Sarkozy, and rumors are circulating that he is engaged to supermodel/singer Carla Bruni after a two-month relationship. Sarkozy's very public personal life is raising French eyebrows, and ABCNews' Jim Sciuttio has all the latest from Paris. We hope you'll join us.
