Chili Bowl results


Stewart 8th Kahne 22nd in Chili Bowl A-Main



Damion (The Demon) Gardner took home the coveted Golden Driller trophy Saturday night in Tulsa Oklahoma as the winner of the Dodge Chili Bowl Nationals. It was Gardner's first Chili Bowl win.

The NASCAR contingent didn't fare too well in this year's edition of the indoor dirt classic as defending Chili Bowl champion Tony Stewart finished in the eighth slot to lead the NASCAR brigade.

The other NASCAR stars that made the a-main were Jason Leffler (17th) and Kasey Kahne (22nd).

    Jacques Villeneuve's season in doubt?



    NASCAR rookie - and former Formula One Champion - Jacques Villeneuve may not be assured of a full season with Bill Davis Racing.

    SPEED Channel reported on their 'Pre-season Thunder' show that Villeneuve currently is only guaranteed a ride for the first five races of the season. And most importantly, he must make the 50th Daytona 500.

    The team also confirmed they need additional sponsorship to keep Villeneuve in the seat. (SPEEDtv)

    Wood Brothers JTG Racing changes business model



    Wood Brothers Racing and JTG Racing have changed their business model, but the two are still working together in a marketing and technological partnership, JTG Racing owner Tad Geschickter said Saturday afternoon.

    Geschickter will still be responsible for finding sponsorships for both the teams he owns and the Wood Brothers teams.

    The teams will have separate directors of competition and separate budgets.

    The Wood Brothers will field the No. 21 Sprint Cup car (with multiple drivers likely including Ken Schrader, Jon Wood and Marcos Ambrose) and the No. 21 truck with Jon and Keven Wood in the seat.

    JTG Racing will field a Cup car in four races for Ambrose as well as Nationwide Series cars for Ambrose (No. 59) and Kelly Bires (No. 47) and a truck for Scott Lagasse Jr. (No. 20). (Scene Daily.com)
